What is light therapy?

Polychromatic Light Therapy is a unique therapy of red and near-infrared (NIR) light.  Red light penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the cells to trigger photobiomodulation mechanisms including the release of nitric oxide.

Unlike blue, red or yellow light, NIR light is invisible to the human eye. It emits wavelengths of light energy (800 – 1100 nm) that increase circulation and decrease pain.  Our polychromatic neoprene therapy pad is designed to be easily and comfortably applied to any surface area of the body. They can flex to many anatomical locations.

Frequently asked questions

What is CBD?

CBD is an abbreviation for cannabidiol, a prominent naturally occurring cannabinoid component found in cannabis that comprises up to 40% of the plant. Cannabidiol is “a cannabinoid devoid of psychoactive effect.” CBD is one of the most studied natural cannabinoids. According to many researchers, CBD may be the single most important cannabinoid ever discovered. The US Federal Government, patent #6,630,507, titled CANNABINOIDS AS ANTIOXIDANTS AND NEUROPROTECTANTS makes many impressive claims about CBD, stating that: Cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant properties, unrelated to NMDA receptor antagonism. This property makes cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as; ischemic, age-related, inflammatory, and autoimmune diseases. The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke and trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and HIV dementia. Nonpsychoactive cannabinoids, such as cannabidiol, are particularly advantageous to use because they avoid toxicity that is encountered with other drugs and prescriptions. “Cannabinoids are potent antioxidants… they easily penetrate tissues giving them the ability to enter the central nervous system and brain.” “Nonpsychoactive cannabinoids such as CBD are particularly advantageous as they are non-toxic and exhibit unique antioxidant properties without the undesirable effects of THC.” “The antioxidant strength of CBD is significantly greater than that of either Vitamin C or Vitamin E.”

Are CBD, THC, and Marijuana the same thing?

No, they are different compounds. CBD and THC are both cannabinoids, but THC is the cannabinoid that gets you high or "stoned." CBD is not psychoactive like THC, meaning it won’t get you “high.” Although the legal federal limit in CBD oil for THC is 0.3%, our products have 0% THC.

Regarding CBD levels and purity, how do I know if what I'm ordering is what I'm actually getting?

In an industry plagued with snake-oils, NeuroBalanced™ offers you quality products that will keep you satisfied, are 3rd party tested, and lab results are available. All of our products have been lab tested for cannabidiol levels, purity, and consistency. In 2016, the FDA issued eight warning letters to firms that allegedly contain cannabidiol (CBD). FDA had previously issued six such letters in February 2015. FDA has tested these products, and many were found to NOT contain the levels of CBD they claimed to contain. It is important to note that these products are not approved by FDA for the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of any disease. Consumers should be aware before purchasing and using any such products. NeuroBalanced™ production and products have systems, processes, and quality controls in place to ensure our products accurately contain what the label shows. Each batch/order processed includes a lab result (from a third-party) verifying the cannabidiol level. Without speaking negatively about other companies, we do want to provide links to the FDA website and their findings, which shows many of the "top companies" selling CBD, aren't providing what they are selling. It is important to know that what you are buying, actually contains the ingredients and cannabidiol levels it claims to have. The downside to companies not selling what they advertise is it isn't helping the person who buys it and it gives great companies doing the right thing, a bad name. To view the entire list directly from the FDA website, just click here. Below is a screenshot from their website and you can see the levels of cannabidiol are shockingly lower, or not even present at all. You can also click the below photo to view previous and current years.

Where can I find more information on CBD?

We encourage everyone to do as much research as possible. It's important to ensure you search for CBD oil that contains no THC. There are countless articles, unbiased information, research from the medical profession, physicians, and many testimonials available when searching. If you Google "non-psychoactive CBD oil benefits" that should get you started.
